The Greater Manchester Fringe 2017 is set to be the biggest yet!
The Greater Manchester Fringe first took place in 2012 with 6 different venues and a handful of shows in each. In 2016, it’s 5th year they used 23 venues across Greater Manchester with hundreds of performances taking place.
They are a multi-venue open access arts festival providing support for all art forms to show their work, creating an arts community, encouraging first time participation in arts production and performances across Greater Manchester.

Bad Advice is an original romantic comedy set entirely within the mind of the main character, Jim. On stage alongside Jim at all times are three distinct aspects of his personality: his ‘good advice’, the embodiment of his overbearing mother-complex, his ‘bad advice’, the incarnation of his crippling insecurity and self doubt, and the narrator, a snarky and vaguely antagonistic version of his internal monologue.
An in-your-face kind of comedy, Bad Advice blends the remembered past, the unfolding present and an imagined future seamlessly.
Written by Eli Keren, University of Cambridge, Bad Advice has been performed at the University of Cambridge to a sell-out audience at the Corpus Playroom, and performers include Ryan Monk, Cambridge alumni, who has previously toured with renowned companies CUETG and CAST.
